Job Description:
As an Automation Test Engineer at HCL Tech, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify test cases, perform testing activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute automated test scripts utilizing industry-standard tools.
Execute test cases and analyze results to identify defects and performance issues
Collaborate with software developers and QA teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
Contribute to the development of test strategies and frameworks
Engage in code reviews, offering insights on testability and quality improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
2+ years of experience in software testing and test automation
Advanced proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG
Experience with programming languages like Java, Python, or C#
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Attention to detail and quality orientation
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Certification in software testing or automation is a plus
